It was a good debate where both sides were articulate and civil. if one or the other had been a liberal, there would have been the usual name-calling and outlandish accusations.

I have to agree with Ms Wright's final point: Massive spending by the government IS a moral issue. It shows a total lack of compassion to future Americans for the Democrats to advocate greater debt and high inflation for the sake of short-term political gain.

GOProud wants these politicians to put these social issues aside, but then goes and campaigns for the election of these people. I mean, do what you want. Elect leaders who want war and want to destroy the economy, BUT don't claim to be advancing GLBT rights. You are being NOTHING BUT HURTFUL to the advancement of GLBT rights and you know it.

GOProud kudos to you for advising GOPers to put social issues aside. Wendy Wright I have a problem with. Wright and her group Concerned Women for America, in my opinion, are labelling LGBT persons [including GOProud] as un-American and taking rights (consenting same-sex adults marrying, domestic partership benefits like insurance, employment, etc.) away from LGBT Americans. I advise ALL LGBT Democrats & Republicans to be aware of socially conservative [and LGBT unfriendly] persons in politics.

LaSalvia makes his points easily. The woman from Concerned Women is stretching hard to connect her agenda to real issues. Kudos to LaSalvia for exercising patience and good sportsmanship with her.

The breakdown of the family is # 1 cause of powerty. Same sex marriage is just another form of broken family. (Fatherless or motherless). Tim Gill finance the Log Cabin republicans. Who is really behind GoProud ?
