I am making a half round piece that starts with chain 4 and 8 dc in the first chain from the hook...driving me crazy as that hole is getting so big as I continue to go into it...by the time the 8th dc is done that chain is opened up like the size of a quarter...I am using a j size needle..could you perhaps show it using the same hook so I can see your technique? Thanks so much for posting this.
