Ask the average Iraqi how much they appreciate the USA and our "liberation". Iraq is poised to become the world's 2nd largest oil producer behind Saudi Arabia (their Ghawar field has probably peaked anyway). With the US so utterly dependent on foreign oil we are in for a rude surprise. Forced democracy on Middle East cultures will be a failure. Bush actually told us the truth when he said "America is addicted to oil".
