hi, i just want to elaborate and say to the people that not only did river work hard, his awesome parents would be his manager and work damn hard to get rivet to the amazing actor status ghat ge wad. rivers parebts knew river was a gift from god and were wonderful leaders, and teachers. river was home school, he was UNDEREDUCATED AND OVER INTELLIGENT!! River was special, just an amazing human.. god bless john, heart, rainbow, leaf, liberty and summer!! what a beautiful unity of a family"!

@BedazzleGlitterGal River was indeed special & an amazing person, & while it was good for his parents to encourage him, it wasn't good of them to put him in a situation where he was the breadwinner for a family of 7. Parents are supposed to support kids, not the other way around, & River was THE essential source of the family's $ from the time he was a teenager. Personally, I think the fact that he felt responsible for everyone is part of why he didn't want anyone to know he had a drug problem.

TO The1stTaskIsDRAGONS, I am VERY aware of River's childhood upbringing. I know ALOT about his life, i have read many books about him.... and my feelings are that Heart ( Arlyn) and John, Rivers parents, were very loving and caring.. THAT IS WHY RIVER TURNED OUT TO BE AS WONDERFUL AS HE WAS!!! THEY DID NOT " FORCE " ANYTHING ON RIVER... RIVER ENJOYED PLAYING HIS GUITAR FOR PEOPLE EVEN THOUGH HE PANHANDLED...THE PHOENIX FAMILY ARE WONDERFUL, DECENT PEOPLE... I WILL DEFEND THEM!!!
