research before you purchase dont be a animal collector for god sakes! I have a sun conure and yes she is beautiful but they are ALOT of work, they are loud, they do bite lots of things to consider before purchasing a bird! Please listen to your parents and dont buy because of its beauty there are so many neglected parrots and rehomed parrots and its incredibly sad.
