Franklin Garrett was an esteemed Atlanta historian who passed away in 2000. A popular program at the Atlanta History Center called Stump Franklin featured Mr. Garrett fielding trivia questions from audience members with the hope of stumping Franklin. The program ran from the 1970s until the early 1990s. Audience members submitted the questions in writing before the start of the program and a moderator read the questions aloud for Franklin Garrett to answer. The entire program is available for viewing in the research room of the Kenan Research Center at the Atlanta History Center.
