Im not even a fan of Nicki's but I follow her cause shes so interesting. Take NOTES all you fans & haters alike. What she said in this interview is what Ive ALWAYS known about her, SHE IS "MULTI-FACETED". Not a rap bitch like Lil Kim, Eve, Foxy Brown, ect, the true rap women of hip hop, NO.....she is just an entertainer marketing herself as a "Rapper". I always knew she was a devious genius. She literally proves my point In this interview. She's a beautiful, intelligent, CON artist. Period.

Why have most female rappers put on in the last 15 or so years tended to be ex strippers/porn stars? Even worse, most of them do nothing more than objectify themselves visually or lyrically. I really miss the days when there was an empowering side of female rap in the mainstream; MC Lyte, Latifah, Lady of Rage, ol' girl from Digable Planets, Salt & Pepa, etc...

Today its Minaj, Eve, Lil Kim, Foxy and others rumored to have been passed around by guys in the industry before/after getting put on.

being bussiness savy will get you a long way. i believe that when it comes to your career in any field it should be 50% passion and talent but also 50% bussiness savy and that includes the music BUSSINESS. alot of artist back in the day let their passion for music blind them and that got them robbed. she's simply trying to say that you have to be good at both parts.
