  • If I had a dime for every time he said "right?" I could buy two of these

  • @basmithtx Thanks for trying to explain to me. Usually savvy with this sort of stuff but all this new technology is way over my head lol They need to explain exactly what it's useful for. Your explanation was easy to understand; btw it would be awesome if 1 day they could use the ram along with the ssd for boot up and with that sort of speeds boot up shouldn't be more than 5 seconds when the windows splash screen appears :D Heaven! haha

  • @john0022 I don't think so, as RAM is volatile storage. Caching - generally speaking - means that something has to be fetched the normal way (from local disk, network, etc), and then a copy will be kept ("cached") for future high-speed access. When you're booting up, a RAM cache will typically be empty. That said, I don't know the specifics of the exact system they describe here.

  • When your using ram coaching, if you dedicate 8gb to windows; (by seeing the performance of 4.8gb read, 7gb write does that mean that windows will boot faster or what. Can someone explain that to me?

  • how the hell is he getting those speeds at 1333mhz on the ramdisk, not even at 1800 I get those :(((

  • Absolute beast

  • 64 Gigs!? I remember when 64 Megs was alot!

  • Whenever JJ is guest, the episode is AWESOME! plase bring him more often in your videos!

  • @hammy4002 Why would a 'regular user' even be interested in this series of boards? Degrading a board for being performance and enthusiast oriented is like calling a dump truck stupid because you don't need to haul around 20 tons.
