Bill doesn't understand what controls the tides, how do you expect him to understand this?

o'reilly is wrong from the start. the court has ruled that marriage is a right. See Loving v. Virginia (1967).

He didn't say 'exclusively'. You just added that bit in. He also said "fill the earth". We now have more than seven billion people on it; and yet we're still supposed to "be fertile and multiply"? Where's the limit? By the way; where's the sense in telling people to "be fertile" if their fertility is biological and beyond their control? Did God make people infertile on purpose in that case?

How does it feel California? You spoke via the ballot box, BUT the LIBERALS that be don'y like what you said so THEY are going over YOUR heads! Plain and simple, those that were elected to represent THE PEOPLE are deciding that THE PEOPLE are wrong as what THE PEOPLE said is contrary to their desires! So the liberals are all for democracy until the vote doesn't go their way. Then ala Iron Maiden they RUUUUN TOOOO THEEEEE COURTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Male and female He created them." It does not say He created them male and male or female and female. "God blessed them and God said to them: Be fertile and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it." It does not say He said if it makes you feel good do it. Go out have sex with anyone and anything you want to. He said it is a man and a woman, exclusively.

The constitution does not say what we our allowed to do,it tell the government what they can not do!

Not allowing "gays" to get married is a violation of the 4th amendment there privacy

The other thing why the hell is government involved in marriage in the first place?

A bolt and a nut , seem to marry up pretty good , never had much luck , with nut to nut , or bolt to bolt . I think what people do with their lives is their buisiness . Why cant we just pass a law that says you can pick who you want to insure , with your health coverage and other benifits , I think that would make everybody happy . Otherwise next thing will be , can I marry my dog , cat , car , etc. Man and Woman is what marriage was meant to be .

Marriage can. Civil marriage can't. I think you missed a word.

Actually, marriage CAN exist independently of government. Just because a government doesn't recognize it, doesn't mean it's not there. I think you missed the whole point.

Your comment is a total non-sequitur. My original comment was regarding the fact that O'Reilly said that there was no legally recognized right to marry, which is blatantly wrong in the context of American legal precedent. No one is claiming to own the institution of marriage, that wouldn't make sense.

Marriage has existed a long time, but civil marriage doesn't exist independently of government.
