The Keating Hotel is located in the Gaslamp Quarter. The Gaslamp Quarter is a 16½ block historical neighborhood in downtown San Diego, California. The area is listed as a historic district on the National Register of Historic Places as Gaslamp Quarter Historic District. Its main period of development began in 1867, when Alonzo Horton bought the land in hopes of creating a new city center closer to the bay, and chose 5th Avenue as its main street. After a period of urban decay, the neighborhood underwent urban renewal in the 1980s and 1990s, and is today an energetic business and entertainment district.

  • This definitely is an effective video with excellent dolly moves, and an showcases the uniqueness of the space. I wonder if it would be more effective with patrons.

  • Love this video. It's exactly what a promo video for a hotel should be. Smooth camera moves, rich colors, and the editing was right on pace. It covers all the things a prospective customer would want to see: room shots, amenities, proximity to night life. Great job!

  • I really enjoyed this video the best. The combination of aerial shots, timelapse animation and slow motion zoom-in made the Gaslamp Quarter an intriguing place. In one minute and 20 seconds you provided the viewer with the ambiance of having it all. The ability to work, play and relax all in the same environment.

  • This video is great because it truly grabs you with the richness of all the colors, yet keeps all those great darks and shadows. It's visually striking, which is the best way to sell the hotel - by making it look good.

  • Great shots. Love the opening time lapse, the colors, close ups, and all of the moving shots. The narration is on point too. - Christian Svizzero

  • This is amazing.

  • I have a soft spot for shooting timelapses of night time city scapes. I think that's a tool this video has used quite well.

  • This video shows the attention to detail and craftsmanship that prevails throughout this companies portfolio. I would have been proud to have crafted this piece.

  • This is by far the most interesting advertisement from your company. It's the only video that goes beyond your/the industry's regular style. The "smoke out" intro also fits into the same category, and the CBRE comes close. This advertisement creates a mood while maintaing the crystal clear style of all of these videos that you get from the consistent camera movement. The use of motivated compositions and color palettes removes it from the awkward cheesiness of other video.

  • This video is incredible. I would have been proud to have filmed this. The color and contrast are bold and the camera moves are elegant. I would have loved to frame and executed those shot. The location is fantastic, so inspiring.
