  • stupid guy. has to go all the way to heathcote so that he doesn't have to put a cage in it or harnesses. if your goning to race do it properly

  • If you bothered to take any notice you stupid guy , this was the first time that this car went under 11.00 . It was taken to Heathcote to compete at the summer slam meet and after this meet was fitted with cage and harness and TECH INSPECTED by an ANDRA official . If you had bothered to look at the other videos of this car you may have possibly worked that out for yourself , depending on how bright you are , but then again maybe not ....

  • also 1450 ft lbs of torque is a lot. are you running a cummins diesel engine?

  • I wish I had that much torque mate . The oval has 1450lbs of tractive effort at the rear wheels . I'm not sure on the conversion to ft lbs of torque though.

  • What sort of gearbox do you use?

    Nice car.

  • the tranny is a swing-axle unit . rhino housing , HD side plates , ZF LSD , 3.44 R&P , 3.3/2.08/1.43/1.04 albins gear ratios , Berg HD axles , Berg pinion bearing retainer , Berg axle plate strengtheners , Berg front mounting ,ONE TUFF TRANNY!! built by WPVW

  • @poolix1 Dyno numbers seem to be right. Built vedub motors make around the 3 hundred mark, as for the torque, remember you have to divide the figure by the gear ratio and wheel size.

  • Happy Dyno numbers

  • in NSW Australia you can't run a 2.4 litre turbo legally

    So false claim here

    Dream on

  • A street Beetle needs to be street legal

you can't run a 2.4 litre turbo legally in Australia

    Dream on

  • mine will run about 12 sec.. but if i turbo it i'm not sure how quick it would get. also i will most likely die : )

  • i made it in 89 in sweden whith my 70 vw

    i got the 914 2.2 l in my kitcar now at 670kg

its a killer on the street..

  • I remember this car being built at his shop. he is all pro and the nices bloke you will ever meet. its first run ever was at wsid and was 11.6 or something he wasn't expecting it to go that fast.

  • with that kind of horse power and torque did you think it would run 14's. now whos the silly man or boy i should say
