The variation to doing this where the spectator views from the front is you strap velcro to the backs of your shoes so one shoe can stick together to the other. You rest the coat so it's hanging just above your feet, take one foot out of your shoe and put it BEHIND your legs. Lift up like in your tutorial above, but since the shoes are attached, you'll be able to get a much higher levitation, and like I said, this can be viewed from the front, so it appears less suspicious.
