The Bill: Mickey is raped

DC Mickey Webb has been pursuing a dangerous criminal Martin Delaney for the assaults on two women. But when he finds him, Delaney holds Mickey captive in a warehouse and rapes him. Later that evening, Smithy arrives at the warehouse looking for Mickey and is shocked and horrified to find him battered and bruised. Mickey tells Smithy to keep quiet about what he saw and claims that he was only beaten up. But Smithy knows there is something more to it and confronts Mickey, stating that he knows he's been raped. He tries to persuade him to report it, but Mickey refuses. Smithy turns to DS Ramani DeCosta for advice and Mickey is furious to discover that Smithy has been discussing the attack. They fight in the corridor, until DCI Jack Meadows intercedes. When Jack calls Smithy to his office, he is shocked when Smithy tells him that Mickey has been raped by Delaney. Mickey then goes missing and Jack tracks him down to his mother's grave, where he breaks down and confesses everything about the attack.
Poor Mickey!

I hope he will get on the road to recovery very soon; he just needs to realise that his attacker is to blame, not him, because his attacker didn't have to attack him.

If his attacker is making it out that it was your brother's fault, it's only because he can't take responsibility for what he did; your brother never provoked the attack and he never let anything happen.

Just keep assuring him of that fact and hopefully, it'll help him.

@Blargwhatsittoya Aaww my lord, I am so sorry to hear that about your brother. He's acting that way because he's very ashamed for what happened, but you just keep assuring him that it wasn't his fault and he didn't do anything wrong.

If he won't take it to the police, that's his choice, but maybe try and persuade him to get some counselling because sometimes, talking to a stranger is easier. Just keep being there for him and hopefully, he'll eventually realise that you do love him.

@yettigod I have a little brother about 27 who was sexually assaulted by one of his best friends. He told me about a month ago and the damage his old friend did is horrible. Now my little brother can't go to the bathroom without help and he is afraid of any man he comes into contact with. I can't believe what happened and he's too afraid to tell me anything thinking that I will hate him. I wish he would realize I love him and I only want whats best for him.
