A Jemi Story (Episode 7-Scared)

Joe: What? *voice starts to crack*
Selena: It's d-d-emi.
Joe: She can't leave me! *starts to cry*
Selena: Joe, well if it makes you feel better Demi was so happy when i talked to her before the accident.
Joe: She means a lot to me.
Selena: aw. do you want to come see her?
Joe: Yes!! What exactly happened though?
Selena: S-she was walking to your house and was hit by a drunk driver when she crossed the street.
Joe: No. No. No. Demi no! Is she ok?
Selena: She has a fractured leg, and a broken wrist but she is scared more.
Joe: Scared of what??!
Selena: Losing you. Joe she really loves you.
Joe: I love her. I have to see her now.
Selena: Okay, see ya. *cries silently*
Joe: Nick, grab your coat we are going to the hospital. (a.n Kevin was asleep on the couch)
Nick: What?! Why?! *Sees Joe crying*
Joe: I'll explain, just get in the car. *Thinks please let her be ok*

HOSPITAL

Met Selena at the door, and they walk to Demi's room.

Selena: Joe! Nick! Thanks for coming, it's been hard being here alone.
Nick: *Gives Selena a hug* Don't worry, Demi is going to pull through. Remember I'm here if you need me.
Selena: *Hugs Nick back* I'm terrified. That's my best friend up in that room, and she is s- *Tears stream down her face*
Nick: Selena, your shaking. *Takes off jacket and wraps it around Selena's shoulders*
Selena: Thank you Nick. I'd don't know what I'd do without you. *sniffle*
Nick: it will be ok, i promise *Puts his arm around Selena*
Selena: *Cries silently into Nick arm*
Nick: *Holds her tighter*

All arrive at Demi's room, 309.

Joe: Selena, can I go in to see her? *tears sting his eyes*
Selena: yes, i think she needs to see you.
Joe: *Walks in and sees Demi hooked up to tubes and monitors, but she is awake* Demi?!
Demi: *Speaks slowly* J-joe?
Joe: Demi! oh my gosh. You're ok! Yes! I can't lose you.*Smiles*
Demi: Joe! I don't know what happened, i didn't see the car, and-andd..
Joe:*Kisses her forehead*. The good thing is you're ok.
Demi: *sarcastically* Yeah, real ok. *points to the cast on her leg* Look at me i'm hideous.
Joe: You could never be. *Wipes the tears off of Demi's cheek*
Demi: The doctors say i may be able to go home in 4 days.
Joe: That's great!! *cheers up*
Demi: *Smiles* Thank you Joe.
Joe: For what?*curious*
Demi: For being you.
Joe: *strokes her hand softly* Demi, would you like to go to the Spring Ball in 2 weeks with me? I know it's not the greatest time to ask, but i don't want to wait.
Demi: Yes, a million times yes, but only if i feel better. And even if i still have this cast on my leg?
Joe: Yes. That's just means I have to carry you.
Demi: *starts to fall asleep*
Joe: *Kisses her forehead* Good night Demi. I love you.

Will Demi be well enough to go to the dance? Will Nick ask Selena?
