  • A third person went into the water to save them and also died.

  • I spoke with a ranger last year who said the falls are much more dangerous when water levels are lower, not higher. When water levels are low, the falls are calmer and many more people start going past the barriers and wade into the water. When the water level is high the river roars and people (usually) keep their distance.

  • Damn, why were you so close to this? Pretty nuts.

  • @JACKOTACO I shot the video from behind the safety fence in the official approved viewing area.

  • Concerning the three Yosemite visitors and the woman from Niagara Falls: Stay inside the Damn rails......they are there for a reason!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @avant68043 technically, they were swimmers going over Vernal Fall.

Instead of more signage and fences at the top of the waterfall, all hikers should be forced to take an IQ test at the bottom. This would eliminate the problem of people PLAYING IN THE RIVER 40 FEET FROM THE BRINK OF A 317 FOOT WATERFALL. They should sue God for the excessive acceleration due to gravity. Sheesh.

  • Let me give you guys the truth the media didn't have at the time. One of the men was over the railing, and slipped. Ramina reached over and tried to help, but the waters were too strong and she fell in too. Then the third victim tried to save Ramina. I've heard this story from an eye-witness who unfortunately watched the whole thing.

I've known Ramina for 15 years, I find it rude that people assumed all 3 kids were "idiots" who got what they deserve. Please respect the dead, and their families.

  • As an avid hiker I learned about these deaths and shook my head...as always. Big sympathies for the families and friends but you have to wonder what people are thinking when they head in to natural environments.

In my home mountain range of the San Gabriels there are weekly rescues and way too many deaths typically caused by ignorance, inexperience, overestimating skills or just a total lack of respect for nature.

EVERYONE should enjoy nature but you have to THINK.

    It's not a theme park.

  • Bye Bye

  • Bye, bye

  • Bye, bye.

  • If you dont respect yosemite, you will pay the consequences.

  • @MsLalaforeva please don't type like this when you get to be above 13. people will look down on you.

  • Some people need visuals to respect and understand nature. If you are one of them, look up Patalpani accident. Or Patalpani waterfall accident. After watching the video on youtube, realize that out of those 5 people swept away, two survived.

  • @MisterT468 well, that by logic, those three idiots must have been horrible people.

  • @MisterT468 no, it takes a special kind of retard to die this way.
