@onetunafish lol fair enough i must admit my favorite snes game of all time is twinbee rainbow bell ad which is a japanese port (at least i can only assume lol far too hectic and colourful to be created anywhere else in the world) but i guess thats because i never had a sonic on a sega- 8 and 16 bit is all round awesome as its arcade style pic up and play but if i had japanese games on the cube id be paranoid about deleting the game rather than saving as i dont speak japanese, also no story then

@finly42 I think the japanese games from the 8 & 16 bit era are freaking awesome. My collection is mainly focused on japanese releases, so yes, I'm crazy about them :)

@finly42 most sega titles are not that expensive and easy to find, however the titles released at the end of genesis/megadrive life are both rare and pricey. They are definitively very collectible. If you count the SegaCD as well, titles like Snatcher are quite expensive.

@onetunafish also with referance to this vid do you or anyone know the appeal of japanese games? ive never understood that unless all you guys are randomly fluent in japanese. They seem worth alot more for most games like you see a western wave race for example go for like a dollar but a japanese one go for at least 10. But then again a japenese megaman game goes for like 10 dollars but a pal one in particular goes for hundreds- im sooo confused........

@onetunafish cheers lol i do feel im going slightly crazy but its good to see other people in the same boat and blissfully happy. I would have thought sega would have been worth a lot more as i originally planned on genesis/megadrive and snes, the fact that they dont make consoles you would have thought they would be the most collectable?

@finly42 that is very nice :) If you focus on these consoles I'm sure you find many nice deals.
I thought the best tip for video game collecting is having loads of money.

Thanks for sharing this info. Some sellers on eBay take advantage of people new to the collecting scene. Some people will buy an expensive game just coz the fact its been listed with a high price on eBay. I kid you not, I once saw a sealed copy of chrono trigger for $250,000 U.S. I'm sure it didn't sell though! But it just shows how ridiculous it can get on there.
