  • What's ironic is that Graham Nash left the Hollies because he didn't want to do the Dylan album, and because he wanted to do "heavier" things. Not to be critical but I think this song is considerably heavier than much of his post-Hollies, early CSN work. That said, it's a great version of a great song.

  • i absolutely agree with you. thanks for the comment.

  • I agree with all of the above. Interestingly Nash sings this and it IS better than anything that he wrote while with CSN. Hicks was/is a genius with his instruments. He sings a pretty darned good harmony too. The Hollies were second only to the Beatles in terms of their creativity and were arguably better musicians both vocally and instrumentally.

  • @vexxxskyrider1

    It's not really a secret.

That being said, I think I prefer the way it sounds in Billion Dollar Babies :)

  • This has always been my favorite early Hollie's tune. Thanks for posting it.

  • NOW, THIS IS TOOOOO MUCH FOR ME IN ONE EVENING... WOW ... SOME HOLLIES TUNES DISAPPEARED DURING THE YEARS IN ME.... BUT I REMEMBER THIS HOLLIES SONG SO WELL... :)))

@IVETTEDOURIF ...SOOOO GLAD THERE ARE OUT THERE LOVELY HOLLIES FANS THAT KEEP AND SHARE THEIR SONGS HERE AT YT ... IT'S WAS AN HONOR FOR ME TO SLIP HERE AND LISTEN TO THIS TUNE AGAIN.... I GOT SOOOO MUCH INTO NOSTALGIA NOW '-)

  • This song was a pretty big hit in Philadelphia, by Keith.

  • As a teenager, this song was one on my Hollies Greatest Hits record that I didn't care for, but as a 59 YO adult, I love it as much as any other song on that album. A totally wonderful song in my opinion.

  • great song. i love the hollies, but i think i like the fogelberg/weisberg version better. many years later i noticed quite a similarity to laurindo almeida's 1963 "lounge"/bossa nova version of "misirlou."
