Incredible transformation of Valor, Arabian stallion rescued by caring citizens, then unethically taken by "rescue"

  • This does not make any sense. My horse was in training at the NSAE barn where he was kept by Hope. I saw him 3 times a week. He was thin but gaining weight and very active and healthy. When he left his penis was almost completely healed. I think Hope did a stellar job especially in ground manners.

  • What doesn't make any sense, is not FEEDING the horse enough food, not treating the injury PROPERLY to heal the FUNCTION of the penis so it could retract. He had excellent ground manners before he went to HFH. He will most likely need the penis amputated due to their improper treatment of the injury. This all could have been prevented had Jenny Edwards not made false statements to Pierce County AC and misquote the law.

They do not have the horses best interest at heart- it's all about money.

  • It's interesting, that after Jenny Edwards publicly stated the horses all had to be together for "the integrity of the case" they weren't. She stated, at a meeting with all the vet's on the case, and animal control, and the Auditor present, "All fifteen horses were together at the same barn."

  • Bless your hearts

  • Thank goodness you were there to care for him. No animal should be allowed to suffer in that way.

  • I love this story.. I wish I had him.. He's a beautiful horse.

  • truly breathtaking :) amazing horse. great story, and thanks for rescueing him

  • A perfect and beautiful story of hope...incredibly powerful, and heartwrenching.

  • This Hope for Horses group from Snohomish had charged the County over $50,000 (fifty thousand) on a previous neglect case- by padding invoices and double billing. They wanted those two horses so they could do the same thing again. They lied and misquoted the law to Animal Control and the County to CONvince them it they were "experts" in handling criminal evidence. They are expert con artists. And the horses they proclaim to care so much about- they don't give a sh*t about.

  • Who was most stupid here. Hope For Horses or the ones that believed the horses really were being taken to protect "the integrity of the case." Anyone who knows anything about the law regarding an animal impounded for abuse- the cardinal rule: The evidence used or allowed to prosecute a case is the evidence taken WHEN the animal is impounded. NOT three weeks later. How much money was the Hope group paid? Was the evidence they "protected" used to prosecute this case? I doubt it.

  • Hope for Horses has been exposed for what they are- a fake rescue. In it for the money they steal from generous citizens. They should be in jail for what they've done. Ever wonder why they go through sooo many people? They use 'em, then throw them away. Just ask one of their FORMER volunteers, there are hundreds to choose from.....

  • My husband and I were the first to shoot the initial videos of Valor's condition and contacted Pierce County Animal Control. Rose and her family did an awesome job of caring for Valor before and after Hope For Horses didn't do what they should have done to take care of Valor's injury. This is a five star video and thank you Rose for putting this on YouTube. People need to be more aware of the deporable conditions that some horses are kept and need to know how to go about getting them help.

  • BEAUTIFUL STORY! This is a triumph of tragegy. It made my heart absolutely break- then I cried with joy at the end.

How can people live with themselves and be so brutal? I think there are clearly two parties here that fall under that catagory.
