Even after an extension of unemployment benefits to 99 weeks, many of those about to go off the program are in a quandary. Scott Pelley talks to some of them in Silicon Valley.

I run a consulting firm and I tell you that when I see a resume with a gap in employment I toss it. Most of the unemployed scum are libtards who were the first to get laid off because they didn't perform at their job. They don't deserve new jobs and I encourage any employers out there to NOT HIRE the unemployed. These people are dope smoking trash.

You can;t blame employers for not sending rejection letters, they receive thousands
of resumes a week, how can they answer all of them. The fellow taking the job at Target
is actually taking a job away from a housewife or someone just entering the workforce.
A lot of older people working at fast food places are taking the jobs away from kids and students.The lady with the cans is taking money from the poor homeless person.

@nickintp In most countries you have to pay property taxes even after you pay off the property,but not all. But it comes out to 45.45 years. You can do the math with any rate or mortgage. Example: $135,000(mortgage) Divided by .022(tax rate)=$2,970 (yearly taxes) now divide principle by 2,970(yearly taxes)=45.45 (years), so yes. As you say ignoring appreciations, and tax rate increases. As I have always said you never really own your house as long as your paying SOMEONE for it, cough gov!

@livedlivez He had to pay for the Bush War in Iraq, not a dime of that was paid for still. Plus he had to stop the financial meltdown and run on the banks. He had to stop the housing crash from getting worse. How is any of that his fault? There is no free way of doing those things! A irrational person, or Religious, or political person can see a bank robber rob a bank. Then see the police save the day. And few months later have the robber talked them into blaming the police for robbery!

I was never able to buy my own house but my family member have and they told me about property taxes.
Did you know that average property tax is about 2.2% per year? That's like a second mortgage. No matter how you cut it, 2.2% per year will derive to 100% at property value by 45 years. Not including inflation, So even if you own the house completely, you would still have to pay the total principal every 45 years.
Can someone verify if this is true?

@indyman77
Yeah... I caught that too. That fcuker should be fired so that you or I can apply for the position... or at least open up a conversation for hiring a fact finding researcher.... LOL

Obama can give out $100,000 to 30 million american citizen and that would equal to 3 trillion.
Elect the Next President that promise to give out $100,000 to their Citizens only.
