I look at your bike, and the quality you are putting into it. It does show. I too am trying to make sure that my bike has this kind of build quality in it. I hope to be able to post a video within a month.
I'm doing well. I think I've finally got the mechanical kinks out of the system. Required the making of a few custom pieces. My build partner has managed to build a module to control both the engine and the motor controller with one throttle. A nice compact box that can be mounted up by the speedo. Has a LCD to see the mode the bike is in, as well as a switch to change modes. Frame is being powdercoated, and tank is being painted. Will start to rebuild this week.
Hi Frodus, I met you on Elmoto. I'm the guy with the hybrid bike. Your bike is awesome! Glad to see you're upgrading to LifePo4. Keep up the great work. Alot of people are going to be motivated by the work you've done.
I've not seen that on my motorcycle, its very smooth acceleration, even when keeping it at 1-5mph, it just glides along, goose it and you accelerate fairly well (realize the bats in the movie are USED SLA UPS batteries).
The torque ripple is a term used mostly with AC motors or BLDC motors. This is a series wound motor. Those motors require constantly changing waveforms. Series motors are PWM, same waveform, different duty cycle.
hey not a problem.... This motor has much more torque than the BLDC that I could find in my price range. Not as efficient, but its a torque monster with good batteries.

Your hybrid is super sharp looking and has me and a friend wanting to do a hybrid.... he's already got an engine and we're looking at some motors.

Thanks for the info!
