Hey! I just watched the first part of your video and I am totally crying. I start my Remicade next Friday and I'm scared to death. My veins are the exact same as yours. They are teeny tiny and they roll and they are very deep. I always tell the hospital that I am a tough stick and they just laugh. I'm like I'm seriously a HARD stick. Anyway, I hope I can be as brave as you.

I'm sure that nurse says diet has nothing to do with it, she looks like a god damn cow. Anyways good luck and make sure you have plenty of vitamin d3 in your system might change your life.

I'm 12 years old and I'm going to start with remicade tomorrow... I also have crohn's

I had my colon removed when I was 18 from UC- now I'm 30and have Crohn's and begin Remicade in five days; I too am a very difficult IV stick from veins being used over and over. You are such an inspiration; did they give you Benadryl at all? The nurse told me they will use a 22 gauge IV; wish it could be even smaller. I hope the Remicade continues to work for you; I will be sure to drink alot of water cause I get dehydrated very easily. Thanks for sharing your story!

I was diagnosed with Crohns about 10 months ago after my entire GI tract shut down. After it shut down the second time (3 weeks later), we did emergency surgery and removed 12 inches of my small intestine. Then started on remicade a month later. Luckily for me I have pretty good veins! God bless you!! YOU are seriously amazing. This is such a good video to watch-- It helps the rest of us laugh at all the crap we have to deal with. THANK YOU!! You are inspiring! God bless you! Best wishes Nadia!

I'm going to be going through this shortly myself. It looked like you were in a lot of discomfort there, not something I am looking forward to myself. I just hope the Remicade will work for me. If not, my GI says he will operate probably removing some of my small intestine. I just hope it will get my Crohn's under control. I feel for ya.

I was on remicade for crohn's too. I have the same problems with my veins! The nurses act like it's unusual so I thought I was the only one lol. I'm on humira now and it has worked really well. Hope remicade keeps u feelin good :)
Hey there, I'm starting remicade this month so I won't have to pop three thousand pills a day, and I was wondering if you've noticed a difference yet at all or if you're experiencing any problems (besides the tiredness on injection day)

@Timbodacious Thanks for the comments! I think if you respond well to Remicade, you will find it offers a lot of relief. I can tell when I need it and my body exhibits symptoms that tell me when I receive the Remicade, although I get tired and sick feeling, but a day or 2 later, I feel much better and back to my "normal" self. I feel for ya in the 3000 pills!! I carry a pharmacy everywhere I go!
Stay Positive! and let me know how it goes! I will be thinking about you!

Are they using Adult or Pediatric size needles? I have the same problem, and if they use the Pediatric size it seems to go easier.

They were using Pediatric sized needles. Most of the things they use on me are kid sized, I'm small. They used a pediatric blood pressure cuff in the beginning of Part one--but they switch back and forth from kid sized to adult size in this. It's funny because they don't always know what to do, I kinda fall in between. Thanks for the comment! Nadia
