@AdvancedGT Thanks - There is far better equipment (than I have) out there now and the cost comes down every year so jump in and have a go.

@ciksparty - Hi there. Scope is a 10" old style Meade Classic which I have had since 1999. I would love the 16" but thats out of my grasp (shame). I am glad you enjoyed the pictures.

@spacesauze - Many thanks. Scope is a 10" but I use stacked images on the nebula and galaxies to bring out the detail - it shows what you can do - others do far better than me. I put my images onto YouTube so others could see what you can do with a modest telescope which may spur them to have a go.

@brucepeter2007 I see, the mirror doesn´t seem to be that big:) Another daft question, wouldn´t a longer tube give a better picture it looks kind of short compared to other telescopes, or is there some technical trick which enhances focal lenth.?

@bicnarok The tube is shorter with this kind of "folded" type of scope - you are thinking of a Newtonian scope which has a single focal path over its long length - if the one I have was like that it would be 3 times longer.
