This saying has been around for decades and is a common political term. He was not even talking about Palin, he was talking about McCain.

Agreed. McCain campaign hit an all time low.

The recent "trash" (for the lack of a better label) that the McCain croneys are pumping out against Obama illustrate just how desperate they are to win. McCain says he'd rather lose an election than win a war. Man is that crap! He obviously would say or do ANYTHING to win an election. McCain "lipstick" ad however is the ultimate two-faced insult that is so indicative of his trushy campaign. And half the people want this liar as president? Sounds like he has more in common with Bush than ideals.
Don't believe everything you're told. If you'd heard Obama's speech, you'd know he wasn't even REMOTELY going after Palin. The lipstick analogy was to a LONG LIST of McCain promises from his acceptance speech that ARE IDENTICAL to Bush II's acceptance speech.
Annoy a conservative - think for yourself!

What is McCain trying to change? Mudslinging politics!!! Americans have been sick of this crap for years. The ads make McCain look worse and Obama look better. Obama keeps taking the high road and has not used any smear tactics against any of his opponents, even though they've all used them against him. I swore a long time ago that I would only vote for 3rd party candidates from now on, but right now I can say I just might pull the lever for Barrack Obama on Nov 4th.
