Blue Moon (original)

Here's an improvisation based on another of Ruth's poems. I'm having to sing very close to the mic on this one because my voice has almost completely gone.

The poem is beautiful and I wanted to create an optimistic feel to the song.

'Blue Moon'

The day
Ushers in the evening,
As the night comes,
And the mirror
Grows stronger,
The shadows grow longer.

Silvery-blue
Light dapples the scenery,
Showcasing your ring,
Enchanting me,
As groundfrost in the Spring.

Embraced,
By the willow tree's boughs
As our hearts speak silent,
But deafening vows,
Keeps our secrets safe.

We dance,
Silhouettes bathed
In the full moon's
Forgiving essence,
In Mother Nature's eyes,
Hearing her sigh,
For tonight,
We are home,
For once, in a blue moon,
We are home.
