@badturkali It's Alfred Hitchcock, the director of both movies, and he's the one doing an appearance in every of his movies...
-
@Mankind081 He looks at the composer and talks to him, not the viewer. Fun fact.
-
Does anyone know where I can watch this movie online?
-
@badturkali He appeared in many of Alfred Hitchcock's movies, for he is... Alfred Hitchcock.

@DOKt00n I'm not _sure_... but wikipedia says "Bagdasarian played minor roles in films, of which the best known is his appearance in Alfred Hitchcock's 1954 murder mystery Rear Window. Bagdasarian portrays a piano-playing songwriter who composes, plays, and sings a song called "Lisa." His character lives in an apartment across the back yard of the film's lead character, played by Jimmy Stewart, and [...] he appears only in long shots, sometimes filmed through a window"

Lol, he's like; WTF are you looking at? XD

Nice music the songwriter is playing.....
Is it just me that finds it quite spooky when he just turns and looks straight at the camera?

@Mankind801 and @commradefyedka It is actually an intentional look directly at the camera, it's Hitchcock's acknowledgement of the audience's voyeurism in cinema, paralleling Jeffries' own voyeuristic activities.
The look is kind of foreshadowing of Thorwald's later on, when Thorwald spots Jeffries, and looks directly at him, and by extension, us, the audience.
