  • Pause at :58 seconds. If you look closely you can see bite marks on this big boys back. I think the river monster they are talking about tried to eat this fish.

  • @DurtyIce12 The marks on the back of the fish are marks from Silver Lamprey Eels. When muskies lie on the bottom in our river, they often have lamprey eels attach to their back. They leave marks about the size of a nickel that heal up in time. On occasion you can find fish with as many as 25 marks on them. One of my guests brought a fish in last year that had 6 lampreys attached in the head and gill area of the fish.

  • is that a custom color topraider? loooks like parrot with firetiger stripes

  • @citalopram40mg - Parrot topraider with stripes drawn on the side of the lure using a black marker. The lure caught very few fish for me in its' original pattern. It has worked much better since including bringing 3 fish over 50 inches into the boat.

  • God I'm tired of catching smallmouth and pike I want to get a freaking Muskie so bad.

  • i'm going musky fishing tomorrow and after seeing this video i'm freaking out

  • nice musky

  • anyone know where in the Ottawa river their fishing?

  • 12 people were happy for John, but it looks like Colin is still upset

  • Always release these fish, they are few and far between and are very delicate and stress prone despite their size and aggressive nature. Treasure the experience and let the "king of the river" go!
