Discussion between John McEnroe, Cliff Drysdale, Brad Gilbert, Patrick McEnroe, Chris Fowler and Darren Cahill, at the 2011 US Open.
They were talking about how players were complaining about playing in wet conditions at the 2011 US Open. They talked about history of a tennis players union, tennis commissioner and about the relationships between the players, ATP, grand slams and tournament directors.
Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray and Andy Roddick complained how they shouldn't have been on court because of wet conditions, and that the players are not protected.
I recorded this on my Android, so sorry for poor quality.
thumbs up if you agree with the players and the commentators...or if you were sent here by SI.com

I don't know HOW on EARTH CAN A CORPORATION be bigger in any way than PLAYERS???? it's insane, US OPEN is nothing without players.. they are essential piece of the puzzle ,90% of it.. US OPEN should be ashamed .

This is what happens when there are no unions. Tennis is a perfect example: There is NO off-season! These guys get exploited like crazy.

I saw this live and was shocked, USTA at least the open doesn't pay taxes, and make hundreds of million yet the winner get like $1,800,000, nba players get paid more and nba is broke plus, Tennis is super hard and nfl nba and mlb gets 50 million contract and Federer has had play hard for his whole life to get 50 million in PM

"John McEnroe for President!" -Janko Tipsarevic
Nothing makes for better TV than when this excellent group of tennis analysts gets together and rants. Loved every minute of it and 10000% true.

Thanks for posting this. Interesting conversation. As with everything else, the corporate fat cats are calling the shots, and unions are weak and poorly led.
