11 May 2008 - We join the charity cycle ride, starting and finishing at Beccles Middle School, Suffolk, UK. A sunny day, a good turnout of both families and serious riders, so a nice initiation for us! We hadn't prepared in any way, but the 25 mile circuit was about right, though we were glad when we reached the finish line! A good family event, great atmosphere, and some of the serious cyclers did the 25 mile circuit twice and even three times! One is seen overtaking us near the end of the film. Money raised goes to East Anglian Air Ambulance.
Thanks to organisers, stewards & marshalls! And thanks to friends who sponsored us, we've raised about £60 so far!

Thanks for the comment! And good for you for going so many times and raising funds for charities. We did it again this year, another lovely morning ride. And yes, if you stop too long you can find it hard to get going again! Sounds like you are a lot younger than us. I'm hoping for a lighter bike for 2010! Mines a cheapo mountain bike (second hand) and it weighs a ton!
