form a birch figured 3 in thick blank I re-surfaced the birch to 1.75 then machined out a modified telecaster

used the better carpenter's glue its brown in colour,3 pieces,laminated is better than solid as it should not split later,birch is harder than alder and ash ash is porus birch is like maple

Just wondering...
It looks like your birch "blank" is glue-laminated? How many individual pieces did it take?
What kind of glue did you use?
How does Birch compare to Ash (or Alder) when it comes to the final sound?
Do you think the glue affects the final sound?
