Never heard of the man except for Shrek, but I love the song, it's so simple, yet so beautiful. I play this without a capo, so the guitar is 6 half-tones lower, whereas I sing 6 half-tones higher. I can't sing very well in that deep tone anyway, and it's nice to play it without having to find the capo.
