Same story when McDonald's opened a restaurant at East 98th and Miles Avenue in Cleveland in the late 1970's...my grandparents lived across the street from a Red Barn, also at East 98th and Miles, at the time. Red Barn had a restaurant by us Berkeley or Hillside IL, it wasn't just a burger joint they had a full service menu. Sadly they closed in the early 70s, the building is still there only now it's called JK's.

MMM Tab for a penny. I'd give a million to have Red Barn reopen

me & aunt would go to red barn after she pick me up from nursurey school
Seriously. McDonald's and Burger King are the two lowest tier burger chains but for some reason they're the most popular.

Tab was the big diet drink before Diet Coke. Diet Coke came out in 1983 and Tab was dealt quite a wallop.
