do i need to to replace the flex cable in order to install a white button? some people sell the digitizer kit with the white button with the flex cable. is the flex cable necessary?

@b0wnguyen316 if your careful you can peal it off but do be cautious they rip very easy

What keeps the screen from flipping forward and falling out of the housing? It is such a tight fit it just stays put? O.o

@jlh1290 No it's a replacement of the old there are 10 screws holding in the LCD & Glass alone.

@idjmic No, I get that the screws hold the LCD to the Digitizer, but @ 4:43 when you press it down into the housing, what keeps it from "unpressing" and flipping back open?

@jlh1290 Ah there are notches and grooves at the top that hold the top... then the 2 screws in the bottom prevent it from popping back out.

I seriously just did this to my 3gs. changed black housing to white, added digitizerr. Powered it up before closing it. everything was working perfectly. When to close it and ripp. brand new digitizer is gonee. this seriosly happened like 10 minutes ago.
