A head-to-head-to-head demo of the Boss TU-2, Korg Pitchblack and Planet Waves CT-04.

You'll find that some of the tuners seem to jump to, and sit at "in tune", while others still show sharp or flat. Since this video, I've sold/traded all three and picked up a Pitchblack Plus. Maybe I'll do a demo of that some day. Thanks for all the views and comments!

  • Dude where do you get those colored cables? what kind are they? thank you homes

  • @mellowhipe Haha, I think I got 'em from MusiciansFriend or something.

  • @jbisti Thisssssssssssss guyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy thisssss guy rightttt hurrrrrrr. do you remember what kind (brand) ?

  • @mellowhipe I just found them on amazon, but can't paste in a url. Look for Stagg Six Pack of Mono Patch Cables with Plastic Connectors

  • @jbisti Aww yeah thanks man. just makin sure they're good for connecting pedals together (pedalchain/linkin)? right

  • @mellowhipe Yup. 1/4" to 1/4" angled ends and something like 9-12" of length is good. I also like the Hosa adapters.

  • @purplemonkeyelephant If you like the Pitchblack, check out the Pitchblack+. It's a few bucks more, but it's got a lot more display modes, plus two inputs that you can A/B between. I have a review of it up here that you should look for :)

  • I love the Pitchblacks smooth action. I think I'm going to have to get myself one of these!

  • looks like they were all about the same

  • @Boefkick Absolutely, dude! Display counts for a lot, especially if you're doing song-and-dance in between songs. strobe-style A display that moves left or right when flat or sharp is easier for me to gleam at out of the side of my eye than a "needle" style display. Being able to punch in and out quickly matters a lot to me, because I don't want to hold up the rest of the band, but I also need to at least *start* in tune.
