  • judging by how old you looked at the time of this recording (early thirties, i'm guessing), you truly did this justice. db was my main drumming inspiration in the 70's, along with thousands of other budding drummers, for sure. thx for dissecting this and then bringing it to an accurate visual presentation. i know it must have taken a lot of time and effort. very sweet!

  • @ultrakool Well this was done about 2 years ago and I was about 46 or so - but thanks for the early thirties comment! It's just a lot of years playing this music that makes it so much fun. Thank so much

  • You my young friend are "balls on accurate" with this cover solo. I don't even think that it is fair to "you" to call it a cover. You nailed it. And how do I know this you ask? Because I was there at Shea Stadium and the concerts that followed until I went into the USAF. I still listen to GFR on my original vinyl and saw Mark Farner in Destin, FL in 2008. You did us old GFR fans proud. Keep on hitting them skins!

  • @MrBigben1952 I'm glad you got so much enjoyment out of this - Imagine how I feel playing it. It is just the best. Thanks so much for the kind words. Donny Brewer knows how to hit them skins!

  • Needs to work on his time.

  • @Easleytee Who Don? :)

  • @The DrumChannel Well, you oughtta be, because you're flawless and fun to watch! By the way Don Brewer and I both share the same birthday: September 3rd. Which is totally cool since he's one of my favorite drummers of all time. My favorite Funk album is E Pluribus Funk. And I love your cover on "I Come Tumblin'" It's flawless and fun to watch, because your smiling and having fun. Which music should utimately be: FUN!

  • @TheDrumChannel hmmm..you're pushing 50y/o!?!. ok.. keep doing those leg raises, crunches and all the rest...you wanna be doing this for at least another thirty

  • @jeffreygaudreault Thanks so much - I'm glad you like these covers - either you like this music or you don't. Grand Funk kinda had that way about them. That's cool that you have the same birthday - I missed it by 7 days as well also being a Virgo. Funny about the band thing, but I'm going to check out some peole that need a drummer on Friday - Hopefully they are good musicians as it takes a lot of time to dedicate. Thanks so much again

  • @17drumhead Thank you

  • @mmisme Well thank you and I'm glad you enjoyed it
