***6 week update, not 7 week update***

The eggplant plants are growing well and putting out lots of flowers. The tomato plants are growing good as well. They are starting to put out 1 or 2 flowers per plant. Miracle grow was given this week.

Didn't find any okra plants or seeds so i will be saving seeds from my grandmother's plants. I've never done that before so that will be a great learning experience.

  • I seem to have missed this on release. Plants are looking well. The difference in climates is really telling, it will be weeks until certain varieties can be outdoors here - unless provisions are made to protect.

  • @usframe Yeah, YT is a little off on how they show subscriptions. Anyway, I saw your recycled plant starters and thought wow...they're still growing seedlings. We've already got a thumb sized eggplant on one plant. Son #1 was soo excited to see that. That was fun to see. To bad I didn't have my camera ready.

  • Very nice. We are going to try eggplant this year. Damn sure only planting one zuchinni though!

  • @HawkLMT lol. Learning by doing. Good luck with your garden this year. I'll have to try your margarita mash after growing season.

  • GREAT JOB.... I wish others would do the same !!

  • @eastcoastpatriot Thanks. At least my kids will know vegetables come from plants and not the produce section at the supermarket.

  • @TheHomeDefender Now that makes a whole lotta sense. Your plants are doin' great for 6 weeks! I guess when you put it in perspective, it really doesn't take all too long to get an edible product. It's a lotta work, though... Gotta put yer back into it!

  • Their looking good, keep up the good work. Take Care :-))

  • @TheHomeDefender that is very true......sadly you will have the majority of people beat by knowing that info. keep up the good work. PM me sometime I would like to send you something.....

  • @TheHomeDefender Go ahead and do it during growing. Pour it around the base of plants and water it in. That's what the lady told me.
