2012 New YouTube Thumbnail Trick Revealed... works on YouTube for any video of any length. Free Step by Step tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8Npxtubc4c

Older text for this video here:
YouTube Thumbnails Test on YouTube. The old way no longer works: (1/4, 1/2, 3/4) The method YouTube uses to identify where the thumbnails come from has changed. YouTube changed it Dec 3, 2008. http://www.videoleadsonline.com

We thought we cracked the code -- But now we are not so sure! Selecting the Thumbnail positions can work consistently if you don't mind your video looking like this one with a timer running the entire time!

The new way seems random -- But we continue trying to crack the code, [we don't believe in "random" on a computer] SUBSCRIBE here if you want to be updated if/when we figure it out.

You can see we captured all 3 thumbnail positions by clicking on the links here or looking within YouTube at "View All ... Comments" to see all three thumbs.

Check out the video that talks about the Thumbnail positions on other hosting sites like Yahoo, MotionBox & MySpace. Look for our video called "Video Thumbnail Trick..." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y8IumbCXFwc and follow its links for a free set of thumbnail positions that work for a 1min 30sec video.

  • Best of luck figuring out a formula or calculation for this. I'd love to be able to do it!

  • @VideoLeadsOnline My channel JustinHatesPie and my tutorial on it. o_O

  • @JustinHatesPie Justin, Which channel & which video do you want me to refer to when I give you credit... choose 1 please. Message me the answer in YouTube. Send the Channel Name & the YouTube URL in the message.

  • @JustinHatesPie Looks like the last way I tried to reply from Mobile YouTube did not work... so NO giving your age is NOT mandatory... just thought it would add to the impressiveness of your tip.

  • @VideoLeadsOnline Um... Is my age really manditory o.O

  • @JustinHatesPie Hey Justin, I tried to message you on YouTube but it would not work. When I give you credit for this method (after I check it out) I wanted to mention how old you were (amazing xx-year old kid discovers....) Please reply here or send me a message via my channel on YT with your age.

  • @VideoLeadsOnline And Subscribe to me if you want to as well xD

  • @VideoLeadsOnline yes you do and watch the tutorial if you want to know the whole process for it to work :)

  • @JustinHatesPie If I can make this idea work consistently then I'll be sure to give you credit. I'll assume you need to set the thumbnail, then do the trim. What if you trim off all the still image at the end? Do you still get to keep the TN?

  • @VideoLeadsOnline Happy to help! :) xPureMadnessx should get credit though too! :)

  • @JustinHatesPie Well I'll B! - That's what I get for not watching all of your video showing what you do. The YouTube police don't lop off that thumbnail image even after you go back an edit it out? Wow... I'll have to check that out.
