25 years ago I was driving through the western mountains of North Carolina. I had left Jesus Christ behind and I was living what I thought was the free life without all those shackles of religion. I turned a sharp curve on U.S 129 S. The sun was just coming up, shining through the intermittent fog hugging the ground. The words 'believe Him and all will be well,' suddenly, inexpicably entered my wandering mind. I had to travel my wandering highway a few more years, but His grace held firm.

To OnGodspath: Don't lose hope. My mother prayed for 40+ years for my alcoholic brother. She passed into the presence of the Lord in 1977. In 1992, having passed through a life-threatening illness, my brother surrendered to the salvation call of the Holy Spirit and believed on Jesus as his Messiah. He too entered the presence of the Lord in 1997, 20 years after my mother's last prayer for him.

Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
