  • Trying to decide which Symphony X song is better, is like trying to decide which supermodel is the hottest. Practically impossible

  • Good thing Russell Allen is with a good band now (Adrenaline Mob)

  • @DreadyDreadheart a better death metal example wouldve been something like kataklysm to decrepit birth. death and kataklysm dont work because someone could make the arguement that its because theyre from different eras that they have different sounds

  • @FuckingPurpleOcelot The majority of low-class metal does sound somewhat similar within each metal genre, yes. But apart from that, it's the direct opposite. Mid- to top-class metal bands, even within the same genre, have their own sounds. Take then into account that metal has the most subgenres and among the most diverse sounds of all forms of music.

Need proof? Compare Death(the band) to Kataklysm, Therion to Epica, Ensiferum to Eluveitie and Helloween to Sabaton - and then compare them all.

  • @Menegoth

    pretty much.

  • is it just me or does the majority of metal sound the same?

I'm sorry, it's just that I find this is the case, but that may be because I"m more of a classic rock/ art rock fan.

  • @zTerminaL Picking a supermodel is much easier.

  • @MIKEPORNTOY ive seen you troling every prog metal band other thatn dream theater.... screw off.

  • Generic metal everywhere

  • Symphony X is a really badass band. One of the only New Metal bands that I like because I'm mostly into the old shit.

  • Thank God there are still metal bands that don't do hardcore screaming or growling. I can't stand that shit.
