why in the title do you have it as Jane AKA Poe, her name is Anne... Anne Danielewski- sister of Mark Z. Danielewski (author of House Of Leaves, which her second CD and a song from her first CD (hello) is majorly influenced by)

Poe is her nickname/alias. I'm not sure what Poe means (if anything). It's just a stage name.

I just discovered this song when grinding thru my music, I got past the 11 second intro and found an absolute gem! Rich and full featured. I love Poe on the vocals. You guys say it all about Rhys's music. If I could add I would say it's absolutelty some of the best music on the planet. I guess we could be happy knowing we are not mainstreamers. I introduce this music to my friends etc. and get it stuck into their heads until they are used to it. LOL

She couldn't put her name on the album as guest vocalist because she was fighting with her label and couldn't use her stage name, so she's credited as Jane Poe (Jane Doe) What the police and what not call girls when they don't know their name. Because she couldn't legally use her name and be singing for another label. It's only on this specific record because it came out during this part of the legal magic. Before and after are different. I read that a long time ago somewhere.

When this song was initially released, Poe's credit was listed under the name "Jane." It was later revealed to be Poe, but that's where the Jane part comes from...

I ripped the CD to my PC, and it shows up the same way: One Word (Feat. Jane aka Poe). Other titles too like Extraordinary Ways and Endless Dream give credit to the same dual moniker. Seems to be burned into the CDs that way, so when you rip it, that's what you get.

I know that her stage name is Poe.. I don't know why you have Jane as part of her name... it isn't. and Poe does mean something. As a little girl Poe dressed up for halloween as a character in an edgar allen POE piece. That is why she calls herself Poe. So I shall ask again... Why do you have Jane as any part of her name?
