Castle of Lenzbourg AG, on a hill in Lenzburg. First buildings already in the 11th century. Largest castle in Switzerland. Occupied from Bern, 250 years ago. People in Lenburg had to work hard for the masters in the castle. Later the "Lenzburg" was important for military reason till world war 2 ! Today ist is an interesting museum and for wedding- couples who are able to spend some ten thousand $ for their big day.

In wie weit war Schloss Lenzburg im 2. Weltkrieg wichtig? Ich bin selbst Lenzburger und interressiere mich in der Geschichte des Schlosses.

Im 2. Weltkrieg waren überall Festungen. Somit war regional Lenzburg auch wichtig. Wie weit die Lenzburg auch "unterhalb" des Schlosses ausgebaut ist, wissen sie als Lenzburger sicher auch. Uebrigens trifft man oft auch in der Stadt uniformierte Berufsoldaten mit "Turm" am Aermel. Das sagt genug !
