We must learn to accept one another regardless of religion, race, or any other division. Being a libertarian doesn't mean that we just have sound money. We also have to provide for secularism, capitalism, and Enlightenment ideas including freedom of religion and press. Appeasing the mullahs doesn't allow that; remember that there a death penalty for riddah (apostasy) in shariat. I have been reading the comments. Some people seem to misunderstand America's role in this geo-political mess. Also, there's an extremely skewed understanding of history. Some people think the U.S. is flawless, while others speak in glowing terms of Islam and Islamic law. Both views are flawed.

Sound money (gold and silver coinage) is a very good idea! However, I do not want sound money because Allah and His Rasool told me to use it, which is a very stupid reason. I want sound money for sound money's sake, simply because it makes common sense. I am a secular Muslim, and I don't want shari'ah to run my life! Why can't we have a gold standard and keep the absurdly mediaeval religious rules out of it? I abhor tyranny, whether it is the New World Order or its Old World variant!
