Kangaroos often get a serious condition called "lumpy jaw disease", which can lead to severe gingivitis, or even death. Veterinarians at Jerusalem's Biblical Zoo teamed up with scientists at Hebrew University to create a new tooth varnish, which has been proven to be successful in preventing lumpy jaw disease. The Israeli team has gotten requests from zoos in Australia and elsewhere to help create more of the innovative tooth varnish.
