Iv'e been catching your vids for about a month now. I haven't heard a bad one yet. I'm 67 and I just bought my first giutar and started the journey of learning three weeks ago. I have big hands and I'm having trouble fingering chords. I can't seem to keep my fingers our of the way of each other. I think I would have less trouble with a wider neck but I already paid too much for this rig ( Canadian Deagull) Any advice?

hi, thanks for watching. I think a wider neck might be even more difficult to learn on so I wouldn't worry about that. try and bend your wrist round the neck as mush as you can and concentrate on pressing on the strings with the very tops of your fingertips try and get the top part of your fingers to come up vertically from the string. that way you won't be inadvertantly muting other strings - it's difficult at first but you'll soon get used to it. GOOD LUCK!!

I had lessons too for a while when I started - these are very much worth the investment to get you on the right track. there's also some good guitar books out there with technique stuff in them... hope this helps!
