Elmo, I don't know that much about the rules for martial arts sports and so I'd like to take your advice about doing some research on the rules before coming to any conclusions about the actions of the person in the video. If you let me know what sport this is, I will research the rule you are talking about since I would like to read it. Thanks.

No worries, it's Kyokushin Karate, no hand techniques or elbows to the head, only kicks (given the amount of control needed for a kick and the prep time for defense). Bare knuckle, because you didn't have small gloves when Mas Oyama invented the style.

Lower level skill classes have padding, which is why I wonder why a lower belt would choose full contact. On the other hand, he may be a lower belt because he never bothered to learn kata, you never know.

What country is this in and who sanctions this? I don't know the rules, so I can't say, but man this looks dangerous. Are you allowed to strike the head with your hands or just feet?

The UFC was banned in some states for not wearing gloves, so I just want to know how this is allowed. There must be some rules that I'm not aware of.

On the one hand they're both willing adults aware of the risks....but at the same time this isn't exactly a positive for society...IN MY OPINION.

absolutely no lesson learned here....a yellow belt vs a black belt? Yellow belts can barely crawl let alone walk.
