1. bynum was out, as evident from 09 and 10 even a bynum on one leg was enough to get the lakers b2b titles.
2. ariza was out, pierce had the benefit of being guarded by vladrad or luke. in 10 pierce got smothered by a real defender, artest.
3. 08 had "so many stupid calls" especially game 2.
