my question is why the vactrain looks so aerodynamic? if it's in a vacuume, where there is no air, thus no drag, why the need for such a bullet appearance. a brick would work just as well as a bullet in a vacuume.

I'd say, Nothing beats the Japanese Shinkansen, at all.
China got faster trains??? well, I don't care, I'd still enjoy the comfort , safety and punctuality of the Japanese Shinkansen.

I have just heard that China is going to build a train with 4000-25000 km/h. If China will build a train with 4000 km/h within the ten years, this will far surpass other Train industry countries.

@JapanIncorporated Indeed, the previous railway minister was more concerned with showing off than safety. The current one has realized that safety must come first.
The vactrain is also going to be used on the TransAtlantic Tunnel and SwissMetro routes in the far future.
