3 MINUTES... English Subtitles

"When death is inevitable... there is only one thing left to do."

This is the third short movie I made using a continuous shot. I really like that technique, it brings a bit of the theater to the acting, because it forces the actors to go longer without messing up their lines.

What I like most about this movie is the photography.

(I STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU WATCH THE MOVIE BEFORE READING THE FOLLOWING):

The original idea for this was a 5 chapter story told in reverse. The first chapter would be this one, the second chapter would have 4 survivors, the third chapter would have six, etc. It would be a backwards told story about the last 10 people on earth. Notice that the first line of the movie is the woman saying "I loved Mark". Well, Mark was her boyfriend, and he would die in the fourth chapter, when there would be eight people alive.

Due to lack of funding and some casting issues, the initial idea was dropped, and it became one short movie.

There is a very subtle feminist element in the movie. If you don't pick up on it, it is described next (spoiler alert).

- Feminist Element : the woman has an orgasm just before she dies, and the guy doesn't. She uses the poor schmuck to achieve her goal of feeling one last moment of pleasure before her death. It's a small detail, buy quite a few people (mostly women) noticed it and asked me if it was intentional. It was.
