Salty Dog -- Art Hodes 1968
Somewhere in the Chicago area pianist Art Hodes was leading several jam sessions for some local TV station.
Here some famous men are swinging through the old jazz standard "Salty Dog".
Trombonist is JC Higginbotham with veteran clarinetist Tony Parenti. They are joined by local trumpetman Smokey Stover.
Not often we see Eddie Condon actually playing banjo. On bass is Rails Wilson and the drummer is Art Hawthorn.
