I love that they manufacture in usa, that is key, I wish people would buy high quality and less shit, it is cheaper to buy one pair of these and be happy as can be than three pairs of china shit that will not last as long, and you support our economy, I also like how the admin guys refer to the shop workers as co-workers, this is great, drive on allen edmonds
One of the best purchases I ever made. A couple of years ago I bought a pair of calf skin AE shoes from an US retailer by for 120 Dollars (appr. 100 Euro). Really great luck.
Including charges for shipping to Germany, customs et cetera I have paid 160 Euro in total. The regular price here is about 250 Euro at least.
By the way J. Stollenwerk the CEO of Allen Edmonds speaks with a slight german accent people from Rhineland (area of Cologne) have where his name is largely spreaded.
this is truly one jewel of the american apparel and should set the example to make more here. i was on the factory on the summer of 2007 with a group of fellow shoe repairers. The staff was so kind to tour us the same way this video does. i bought the book of the story and love'it. its is a real inspiration.
question though; i saw an AE made in italy, its was like the park avenue but on a different last. what's up with that?
These are the only shoes I buy. They're comfortable from the first time you put them on and look great. They came out with their Classic line this year and they are beautiful! Keep up the good work and keep America working!
Keeping the Manufacturing in this country is one of the main reasons I continue to do business with Allen Edmonds. When that ends - so does our relationship... at that point, there will be nothing to distinguish them from the rest of the din in the market place.
