LP Railroad Tanker Car Explosion in Texarkana Arkansas

A Train accident in a Rail yard in Texarkana AR results in an LP tanker car blowing up. This video is the camera mounted on the responding Police Officer's squad car. The Officer wisely parks a little ways away from the rail yard rather than entering into it. If you look closely you can see what appears to be "fog" creeping on the ground.

But it is actually the LP gas which has leaked out hugging the ground. Suddenly an explosion occurs nearby and the Officer gets back into his car. His partner radios to him asking him if he is alright. He responds, "10-4" but you can hear the fear in his voice as if h just crapped in his pants.

The fireball begins expanding lighting up the entire rail yard which the LP gas has filled. It also causes secondary explosions as it blows up other things in the rail yard. They lose power in some areas too.

He then puts his squad car in reverse and says to the emergency vehicle behind him to, "Get the hell up out of my way, let's get the hell up on out of here!" The flames creep closer and closer to the Officer as he is racing in reverse to get away from the oncoming fireball.

He stops a safe distance away and tells some local homeowners to evacuate and to tell all their neighbors as well.

At least one person in a nearby house died when the pilot light on his water heater ignited the LP fumes.
